From metalgear's feedback:
Item 5:oxy submodule status says "No subrepos." right after submodule add, until the first commit.
Item 8:oxy doctor before the first commit reports the identity "cannot be read: object not found" and suggests creating one, though it only lands with the first signed change.
(Item 7, --json on submodule status, already exists.)
