Prototype in (42236046): flow-casfs mount REPO MOUNTPOINT [--bookmark NAME]. On the Linux tip, Earth loaded (load 10 to 12): mount 0.5 to 0.9 s (state from the index, 102 327 entries), first read of MAINTAINERS 0.1 s, cold full read 52 s, warm 0.65 s; diff -r against the working copy finds no difference. Still to do for the targets: several FUSE threads, a bound on the bytes kept in memory (a full read keeps 2 GB), read-ahead, and a lazily read state index for a mount under 100 ms.

Oxygen backlog 4, P5a: mount a state read-only from the state index and a cache of renderings keyed by graph key (text) or stored blobs (opaque), measured on the Linux tip: mount time (target under 100 ms), first read, and a full read of the tree. Design in docs/spec.md 5.1; it backs OxygenHub's web workspaces (hub spec 13.3).
