On a phone, panels (cards, the README box, the dashboard's lists) are barely distinguishable from the background: almost black on black. Two causes:

• The app always used the wallpaper's dynamic colours, so the hub's own palette never showed, and on a dark, neutral wallpaper the container tones are only a shade above the background.
• Panels have no edge: a filled card relies on its tone alone.

Fix (Andy, 2026-10-28): the hub's palette by default, with a "Wallpaper colours" switch in Account; clear surface steps in both palettes (each container visibly above the one below, as Material 3's tonal steps intend), and a 1 dp outline-variant border on every panel, as Material 3's outlined card has.
