docs/backups.md §5 promised the API mirrors the pages; only the per-repository PUT exists. Add, with the scope repo:admin (an organisation's owners only for its own):

• GET/PUT /api/v1/user/backups and /api/v1/orgs/{name}/backups: the setting (validated as the page validates it) and the newest runs;
• POST …/backups/test: write, read and remove a probe at the destination;
• POST …/backups/run: back up now, in the background (202);
• GET …/backups/runs. Andy chose to have these built and used to set up his and doomsdayone's GCS backups (2026-10-14).
