Add GitLab as a sign-in provider beside GitHub and Google: gitlab.com by default, or a self-managed GitLab at an address the administrator gives (many organisations run their own). Show the providers as branded buttons beside the sign-in box (Gitter's style: GitLab orange, GitHub dark, each with its logo, from Simple Icons, CC0), and on the registration page; the label is the provider's name, not its id (today: 'github').
