  • Its own icon (#10). The Oxygen mark on a pale tile, the same family as the OxygenHub extension's dark one and the HaikuDepot icons, so the two tell apart in the Extensions view.
  • oxy 0.5 to 0.9 in the editor (#11). Withdraw Tag… (a signed, logged withdrawal; the name is never reused). Verify Transparency Log in the Trust view: the checkpoint it verified, this repository's entries and each witness that cosigned. Clone Repository… offers a shallow clone of the latest state. A binary file's or subrepo pin's conflict offers Keep a Side…; two changes adding lines at the same place, Keep Both Sides… (oxy 0.8 or later). Commit Resolution of Selected Paths and Amend Selected Paths. Merge Bookmark… lists remotes' bookmarks too.

  • Back to oxygenhub.oxygen-vscode, the id the Visual Studio Marketplace lists as Oxygen VCS, so it updates in place. Uninstall oxygenhub.oxygen if VS Code shows it: two copies register the same commands, and the second fails to start.

  • A new id: oxygenhub.oxygen. The Visual Studio Marketplace keeps a deleted extension's name reserved, so the extension is now named oxygen beside OxygenHub's oxygenhub. It is still Oxygen VCS, and OxygenHub's vscode:// links use the new id. Uninstall oxygenhub.oxygen-vscode if VS Code shows both.

  • Published by OxygenHub.io. The publisher is oxygenhub, the author OxygenHub.io, and the extension links to its home, repository and issues on https://oxygenhub.io. The id is now oxygenhub.oxygen-vscode, so vscode:// links from OxygenHub use it (the hub sends them from its resolver pages and swimlanes). Uninstall the old one if VS Code shows both.

  • A splash of colour everywhere. The Operations view reads as what happened: a commit shows its message, a push "Pushed to earth", a switch "Switched to feature/16-hud", each with its kind and time beside it and an icon in its own colour: green commits, blue pushes, teal pulls, violet merges, gold bookmarks, amber undos. The current operation wears the Oxygen accent, and the tooltip keeps the exact command.
  • Bisect and Trust in colour. Passing and verified lines are green, bad and invalid red, keys and roots gold, the policy shield violet, warnings amber, with a few emoji flourishes.
  • The status bar shows the bookmark with an icon, in the Oxygen accent when the working copy is clean and amber when it holds uncommitted work; ahead and behind counts are coloured for push and pull.
  • New themeable colours: oxygen.accent, oxygen.commit, oxygen.push, oxygen.pull, oxygen.merge, oxygen.bookmark, oxygen.switch, oxygen.undo, oxygen.good, oxygen.bad, oxygen.warning, oxygen.key and oxygen.subrepo.

  • Oxygen colours. The history graph draws each lane in the Oxygen mark's palette. Heads glow, and the working copy breathes (it holds still if your system asks for reduced motion). ✔ marks a change signed on its own, ◈ one sealed on push, both coloured.
    • Every colour is themeable: oxygen.lane1…oxygen.lane8, oxygen.head, oxygen.workingCopy, oxygen.signed, oxygen.sealed and oxygen.invalid.
    • File letters use oxygen.added, oxygen.modified, oxygen.removed, oxygen.renamed, oxygen.conflict and oxygen.resolved. They default to Git's colours, so a theme can style Oxygen apart.
  • Get started with Oxygen. A walkthrough on the Welcome page covers creating your identity, opening or cloning a repository, committing, bookmarks, pushing and the history. Each step ticks itself off as you do it.
  • Oxygen: Create Identity… makes your signing identity (oxy identity create) without a terminal.

0.13.0 (2026-09-29)

  • No more flashing Source Control. With a subrepo in the workspace, the list of changes flickered because each refresh started another. oxy status rewrote the subrepo's own .oxy files, and only the top-level .oxy was ignored. Every .oxy store is now ignored, and oxy itself (from the same day) no longer rewrites an unchanged status file.
  • Remotes carry their CA. The API's remotes() includes the CA file a remote names (remote.NAME.ca), so the OxygenHub extension can reach a hub with a self-signed certificate.

  • Plans from the swimlanes: on a proposal's swimlane board in OxygenHub, drag one change onto another to plan a squash or a rebase. Apply in VS Code opens vscode://oxygen.oxygen-vscode/plan?url=…&bookmark=…&kind=…&change=…&target=….
    • The extension finds the checkout of that repository, or offers to clone it.
    • It confirms the plan, switches to the proposal's bookmark and pulls it, then squashes or rebases. The rewritten changes are signed with your key.
    • It then offers to push the bookmark, replacing it on the hub.
    • Links with a bad URL, bookmark, kind or change hash are refused.

  • Resolve in VS Code: OxygenHub's conflict resolver links to a conflict with vscode://oxygen.oxygen-vscode/resolve?url=…&bookmark=…&path=….
    • The extension finds the open checkout of that repository, or offers to clone it.
    • It asks before switching to the conflict's bookmark, pulls it, and opens the file with its conflict lenses.
    • Links with a bad URL, bookmark or path (such as .. or .oxy) are refused.

  • Line links: right-click a line number, or inside the editor, for Open on Remote, Copy Remote Link and Copy Permalink.
    • The link covers the selection, or the line you clicked.
    • A permalink points at the bookmark's current state, so it keeps showing these lines after later changes.
    • If the file has uncommitted edits, a note says the lines may not match. Remote links also mention unpushed changes.
  • Open on Remote in the editor title menu now includes the selected lines, not just the cursor line.

0.9.0 (2026-09-28)

  • Amend mode (the pencil in the Source Control title bar): Ctrl+Enter amends the last change, and the box starts from its message.
  • Previous Commit Messages… puts a recent message back in the box. Messages are remembered per repository as you commit.
  • Signing indicator: the box says whether the next commit will be signed, sealed at push, or unsigned (no identity, or its key missing).
  • Conflict marker warning: committing or amending files that still hold conflict markers (Oxygen's or Git's) asks first, and can open the first one.

  • The History graph rewrites history:
    • Split a head: the files you pick become a separate first change.
    • Squash a change into one of its dependencies.
    • Rebase a change onto a bookmark, change or tag.
  • Use them from the change picker or by right-clicking a row. Each asks first, and afterwards offers Undo.

  • "Open on Remote" and "Open Change on Remote" commands, shown once a provider is registered.
